Kids who rely on school meals often go hungry in the summertime, when school is out. It’s a hidden but terrible problem, one that the Arby’s Foundation has made it their mission to solve. But Arby’s doesn’t just raise funds at thousands of restaurants across the country. They provide grants through No Kid Hungry to local nonprofits feeding kids in their communities, promote critical programs like the free summer meals text number and raise awareness year-round.

Discovery Inc, the global leader in real life entertainment, is partnering with No Kid Hungry through the Turn Up! Fight Hunger initiative, a movement to help provide 1 billion meals to kids living with hunger. All of Discovery’s lifestyle brands, including HGTV, TLC, Food Network and I.D. will support the campaign, mobilizing their engaged and committed audiences to help give kids access to the food they need.

Families in rural areas face unique circumstances that contribute to and exacerbate food insecurity. To begin addressing these unique needs and identifying the solutions to end childhood hunger in rural America, the Walmart Foundation invested charitable support to fuel No Kid Hungry’s efforts in rural areas of Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, and Montana. From pilot projects in rural schools to support for national events, such as the Rural Child Hunger Summit, No Kid Hungry is connecting children in rural communities with the healthy meals they need.
